If he's right, of course it would have to do with the quality. If the civilisation or nation is in decline its reasonable to expect that cultural expressions it produces would be impacted.Its been noted, uncomfortably, that slave owning societies produce masterpieces. Although to be fair, a civilisation in decline might be able to produce exquisite cultural expressions by virtue of the pressure it is put under by that decline.

Alright I'm having troubles on finding the book Armageddon that is related to what I just read on this link page.

Google isn't helping me on this and I really would like to read the novel itself but all I'm getting is stupid documentaries and history shit but that is not what I want.

I want to read the entire novel of the Armageddon that I read on here and I would really appreciate it alot if you guys would help me find the actual novel that I am looking for that is related to what I just read here.

Also can we PLEASE not turn this into a religious argument between who's right and who's wrong alright?

What is the logical conclusion of literature?

Why read books full of ideas, when you can just sit down and think for hours?

Do you feel that pieces of literature are defined and empowered entirely by authorial intent, or is the reader's interpretation more valuable?

What are some good atheist/agnostic arguments against religion? I'm a Muslim so preferably something that challenges Islam, or Abrahamic religions in general.

Not a fan of the new atheists like Sam Harris, Hitchens or Dawkins since their arguments are usually based on extremism rather than faith itself and morality. Who were they influenced by and what were their notable works?

Is a reluctant decision an inevitable action that was always going to happen, with the inner turmoil of what you might choose to do just being another pre-determined aspect of the situation?
