Just bought The Broken Sword. What am I in for?

Frodo is endearing as fuck and you appreciate him more on a re-read and especially reading the trilogy as an adult. You got to admirer the little bugger's fortitude for how he was able to cope with the ring trying to mentally torture him along the way to Mount Doom. I think his character is an acquired taste because he's surrounded by much more interestin characters like Aragorn, or Gandalf. Definitely seems boring and bland when you're reading it as a child or teenager.
