It's just me posting those. Sure, there are exceptions. An exception doesn't invalidate the overwhelming trend. Statistics are statistics. I'm just posting facts. It's important to understand the reality of the dating market. Sometimes the effort is really just not worth it.
Also, I'd be interested in learning more about the "ugly ass" people you know. How old are they? How old are their dates? Are they rich? Why do you think they are successful in finding dates? How long have their relationships lasted?
Have you heard of the "alpha fux, beta bux" theory?

You bring up a good point. It would be interesting to know how male's attractiveness changes with better photography. I suspect it will have a bit of a positive effect but not too big. if you don't exceed the boundary where it would be considered catfishing, your face is still your face. There's not much you can do about it.

>A much better strategy is to live a well balanced life with a family, a hobby, some friends and a job.
If that's possible for you I would definitely agree. But I think it comes down to evaluating the odds. The whole society has radically changed. Just because your ancestors had the luxury of having a balanced life with a family, doesn't mean you will have too. You need to think about things critically and rationally evaluate whether or not the reward is worth the effort. Surely you don't think that buying lottery tickets is a reasonable way to achieve wealth. That means you accept that some things are too improbable to strive for. The question is how probable they are.
