Postmodernism isn't really that different from modernism. It's just taking modernism to its logical (or illogical, as it were) conclusion.
You can say that postmodernism is a disease and you wouldn't be wrong to say that, but the fact is that it's just the later stage of the disease that was already in place since the so-called "Enlightenment".
