The state is mainly an excuse, a cope, specifically to PREVENT people from taking action themselves. Been wronged? You shouldn't enact your own justice, you should leave it to the state. Another tribe is encroaching on your territory? You should let the state organize the defense, rather than making your own pillbox. Need a road from your house to downtown? You shouldn't just make your own, let the state do it instead.

Part of this is because many people are lazy and don't want to act themselves; another part is many people are afraid of what their neighbors would do if they weren't constrained by the state. A smaller part is actual tyrants who just feel the need to control literally everything.

In a sense, "everything is political" can be taken to mean that the speaker believes that there is no appropriate place for individual will or action. EVERYTHING is the sole purview of the state in their mind. I consider such people extremely dangerous and don't let them follow me home.

I've written the second part of my first novel. Technically, my second novel. The reviewers said it's great. For the first novel I sold 200. 100, at least to friends and family. For the second novel, I don't know yet. I have less friends and less family now so I may have to think about strategies for selling my stuff since the publisher won't do shit.
