Secondary lit:
'Simone Weil: An introduction to Her Thought' by John Hellman, for a very general overview of her way of thinking (aside from some shitty comments about Nietzsche, it's a good book)
'Simone Weil and theology' by Lucian Stone and Rebecca Rozelle-Stone for a dive in her views about mysticism and theology
'Saints of the impossible. Bataille, Weil, and the politics of the sacred' by Alexander Irwin. It's a good introduction to the two figures and their relations to mysticism around 1930-1945. It's a good exposition of Weil (even if it tries as it may to relate her to Bataille, the man sick with necrophilia)

'Simone Weil and theology' by Lucian Stone and Rebecca Rozelle-Stone for a dive in her views about mysticism and theology (she was seen as a heretic by many)
'Saints of the impossible. Bataille, Weil, and the politics of the sacred' by Alexander Irwin. It's a good introduction to the two figures and their relations to mysticism around 1930-1945. It's a good exposition of Weil (even if it tries as it may to relate her to Bataille, the man sick with necrophilia)
Primary lit:
After that 'Gravity and Grace' would be a good place to start and to go back to.
I would also recommend 'Intimations of christianity among the ancient greeks'.

what is the ideal sitting position for reading?
at a desk? in order that you can take notes?
what is the ideal temperature for reading?
should one drink caffeine prior to reading?
how does one fight the wandering mind?
read on an empty stomach? full stomach?

I love nicotine advocates (relative to mere self-aware addicts) because you are among the people in this world most likely to suffer real karmic consequences for your decisions and I don't have to do anything to make it happen. You are the only people on the internet who will give yourselves cancer for me.

My goal of writing is first to write something that will be enjoyed by someone, and give them a genuinely good time. The secondmost reason is to write something of quality, mostly because of that first reason: it kind of ensures it.

My dude, if I came to this site to talk about my trauma I would have a) not come here, because r9k is where people dump their collective mind-shit and also the advice board exists b) would have tried harder. I would have given leading examples, hooks for you to grab on to. Expecting any help with trauma from strangers on a board is a waste of time. I came here for help about literature and how it is made. Plus, the post wouldn't have made sense if I left the trauma bit out.

Don't strawman him, bro. It's possible that he cares about good argumentation (false dichotomy, heheh) without being overly fixated on fallacies.
Being overly concerned with fallacies is just a fallacy fallacy, bro. Check out this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argument_from_fallacy

>go to lisbon
>visit Pessoa's house
>one room has been reconstructed to look exactly like his bedroom when he was alive, with his original furniture
>see chest of drawers where he wrote some of his best poems on
>i'm completely alone
>take dick out and rub it on the chest of drawers

feels pretty good to have such an intimate connection with my friend Fernando
