Confessions of a Crap Artist may be the most humane PKD novel I'd read yet. It transitions between three main characters and details their subjective reality (i.e., how they view the world, judgments, beliefs and opinions, etc.) about as intricately as possible in a textual format. I wonder if it was one of his harder books to write.

So, some of you read Xeelee: Endurance, right? I'm a bit confused on some parts. I'm not reading all of the stories but I've read a handful thus far.

In the first story, what was up with that ending? Was Virtual Poole somehow the same as Real Poole from Timelike Infinity because wormhole timey-wimey shit?
Also goddommit that story involving the descendants from Raft in Universe Beta was sad with its ending; also didn't even see a point in the story at all other than discussing the Scourge and such.
PeriAndry's Quest didn't seem to have a point to it, either.

Was Xeelee: Exultant any good?

>Are we certain there aren't other double shardholders?
Doubtful. Only around half of the Shards total are even still whole. Regardless, he was confirmed as strongest a while back. If that status quo changes, I doubt it would occur until the modern Mistborn trilogy.

>Remind me why he can't be aggressive
Because his personality is literally harmonious and Ruin/Preservation are nearly perfect at canceling each other out.

>>8781227
>Basically the Shards have joined to the extent (re: branderson) that if Sazed put them down they'd remain conjoined with the new intent.
Right. Ruin and Preservation formed a new Shard: Harmony.

'Hoid' is a worldhopper but he's basically THE worldhopper. He isn't a Herald. Speaking of Heralds, we don't even know if the Heralds originated from Roshar themselves.

>>8255527
Hoid has been in every Cosmere story except for Shadows for Silence in the Forest of Hell and First of the Sun, as far as I'm aware. Even his appearance in Shadows is debatable between Sanderson and his main editor.

I don't know what you mean by SQW, anon. Also, Warbreaker takes place on Nalthis. Just call it by its planet name. It isn't its own universe.

>>8255534
As far as the original trilogy goes: he was an informant for Kelsier in the first book, leader of the Terris refugees in the second, and an informant again in the third book but spooked Vin so she didn't talk to him.

>revelation space five
Chasm City and The Prefect are stand-alone. There are novels, novellas, and short stories within the universe itself but the trilogy of Revelation Space, Redemption Ark, and Absolution Gap is the only series.

Pushing Ice is nice. I enjoyed it overall and it presented interesting concepts although if you genuinely believe BLAME! has no story then you would likely believe Pushing Ice is bad because of its slow pacing.

It's cool figuring out how magic will be able to fuel FTL travel, or wacky stuff like Kaladin breaking orbit, though.

Although some theories cause some serious genuine autism in some corners.
