I prefer to type when I write but whenever I get on my laptop all the bells and whistles start to distract me. Even if I turn off wifi I still get distracted. I was thinking the other day about how in third grade we used these very basic machines to type, basically just a keyboard and a screen (like pic rel but I thought it had a bigger screen). Is there something you know of like this that I could write on, something that essentially only has word processing functionality?

I don't want to be a hipster with a typewriter, I just want to type.

I think my best bet is to get a very cheap laptop and just never set it up for anything other than word processing.
