It's incredible how seldom I come across books dealing with this. Wouldn't it make sense for most books to be about this? Why do I have such a hard time finding art that's beautiful and moving to me?

Once you have posted here for a while, there's no going back. You will continue thinking in terms like "cope" and never be able to have a serious intellectual discussion without the lingering temptation of ad hominem or a wojak reaction image. You will always be isolated since the social dynamics you have learned here become embedded into you, yet they never carry over to real life.

I don't think it's even possible for anyone to change a habit in the most broad sense. They just repress certain things, but it always remains with you. Even if you manage to quit this place, and you will probably come back when you have a bad life event anyways, its experience will linger like an ever-present spectre.

All websites are initiatory organizations, 4chan especially.

Going in trip this break and need a good philosophical work I can indulge myself in without too many prerequisites, or that I can google research unknown terms and references with ease. I enjoyed Guenon's first book and am looking into Crisis of the Modern World, I also liked Schopenhauer's thesis but have yet to venture deep into his first book. I see many of the meme reccomendations on here often as really interesting and they usually have one master work thats easy to dive into. Derrida-Hedigger are cool as well but the latter unlike former requires lots of preliminary stuff. I'm considering everything, Nietzsche as well has a good collection under Kaufman.

So, so far my options are:
>Derrida's Grammatology
>Land's FN and the Bassier intro book as well
>Guenon's Crisis of the Modern World
>Nietzsche reader which has Twilight of the Idols and Zarathustra
>Schopenhauer's WW1

I know a lot of these are meme books but I'm solely looking for some philosophy ridiculous or not that I can completely indulge myself and maybe read over a few times.

>“Do you know, I am filled with a strange uplift; I feel as if all time were echoing through me, as though all powers were mine. I know truth, divine good from evil, right from wrong. My vision is clear and far. I could almost believe in God. But,” and his voice changed and the light went out of his face,—“what is this condition in which I find myself? this joy of living? this exultation of life? this inspiration, I may well call it? It is what comes when there is nothing wrong with one’s digestion, when his stomach is in trim and his appetite has an edge, and all goes well. It is the bribe for living, the champagne of the blood, the effervescence of the ferment—that makes some men think holy thoughts, and other men to see God or to create him when they cannot see him. That is all, the drunkenness of life, the stirring and crawling of the yeast, the babbling of the life that is insane with consciousness that it is alive. And—bah! To-morrow I shall pay for it as the drunkard pays. And I shall know that I must die, at sea most likely, cease crawling of myself to be all a-crawl with the corruption of the sea; to be fed upon, to be carrion, to yield up all the strength and movement of my muscles that it may become strength and movement in fin and scale and the guts of fishes. Bah! And bah! again. The champagne is already flat. The sparkle and bubble has gone out and it is a tasteless drink.”
