Why do publishers love this painting so damn much? My copies of Thus Spake Zarathustra and Jack London's Collected Stories both have it on the cover, and I've seen several others with it as well.

Are any of Nietzsche's other works better written than Zarathustra? I liked the ideas presented, but he plays all his cards in the first hundred pages or so and then spends the rest of the novel having Zarathustra running around explaining to everyone why he's better than them.

Is this worth finishing?

I've started it, but I feel like I get the gist halfway through. I'm reading this version too, which is different from the typical Kauffman translation.

Any thoughts? Also general Nietzsche thread.
