Is it true that Muslims say "peace be upon him" whenever they say Muhammad's name because they aren't sure if he really is in heaven, so they're praying to make it happen, and whenever they say pbuh on other prophets it's just a secondary thing to put Muhammad on their level?

I came to faith through the Quran. Its good but not as good as the NT or OT. Theres a seriously good 11th century Jewish book called the duties of the heart that I cannot recommend highly enough.
You might like Indres Shahs the way of the sufi.
It just doesn't get better than the NT. Maybe check some Meister Eckhart. Pascal maybe.
