>The belief in Christ as a historical figure is seen as more important than his teachings or the metaphysical concepts contained within the myth
Brainlet christcucks are literally idolators.

I can agree with you there. I like metal music and all, but dressing up like a biker vampire outside of maybe your bands photo shoot is definitely not what I would consider a sincere individual. On the other hand I can see how some view themselves as the children of Cain, and thus the lawless lifestyle would seem fit, though most of these people are pure surface with nothing of merit on the inside.

I guess my thought here is from his statement:
>"Cthulhu may swim slowly. But he only swims left."
Now this might be very vague but if he is here comparing the left (seemingly synonymous with his definition of the "Cathedral") to Lovecraftian entities, or amorphous/chaotic systems, how is this anything but good? I always sided with the Outside in the Cthuhlu mythos, so in this context I would have to side with the left, but not in any mere political context, but in a strictly abstract sense.

I've noticed a lot of anime uses loads of occult symbolism. The entire concept of a mechanized body operated by an inner consciousness (or spirit) is itself an esoteric sentiment. Even Dragon Ball Z is a hidden goldmine of this kind of symbolism (7 dragon balls, or spheres = 7 heavenly bodies = 7 chakras = the Pythagorean sacred numbers of 4 & 3, combine summon the great dragon entity). I think anime fans can really benefit from studying occult philosophy.

I get what you mean. I don't think Grant was a moron or lunatic though. He appears to have been very well-versed in the occult to have written so many books on the subject. I think to take his works seriously, would be the same as taking Crowley's works seriously. To say any of this is objectively real is asinine, as "real" is completely subjective, in this instance.
I've so far only read parts of Nightside of Eden and can easily see the parallels between his (an others) visions of the "other side", the tunnels of Set, ect, and my own visions of this layer of reality. Again, to claim it *literally* exists isn't of any value. But to have seen, or otherwise experienced it in dreamstates or on psychedelics and compare this to what others have also experienced is quite humbling. It's even possible to find these parallels within the visual arts and music. The same goes here for Qaballah as for Qliphoth. Both are very unique in their own right, but very similar, as they are polarities of each other.

>black metal
LotR. It's the most quintessential literature in regards to black metal aesthetic. Without Tolkein, we'd have no Burzum.
Darker and less accessible texts relating to the Left Hand Path, black magic, necromancy, blood sacrifice ect, tend to attract unbalanced people. This also goes for the more technical information presented by some of the newage/ufo cults and conspiracy theorists. The book series Voyagers by Ashayana Dean (i believe her name is) was honestly a very unsettling read for me. Also of relevance would be Behold A Pale Horse by Bill Cooper. These kinds of books can send one down the rabbit hole of insanity if taken too seriously.
Regarding excessive violence, which I am less familiar, inro-level would be American Psycho, God-mode would probably be anything written by Peter Sotos or the book Iron Gates written by the Tempel ov Blood. Haven't read the latter, but haven't heard anything good about it.
