Writing a novel is hard. What are elegant ways to start sentences without sounding like a pseud?
A novel shouldn't sound like:
>He did that thing. Then he did another thing. He said shit. She said shit.
But also not like:
>Henceforth .... Witherthough.... Forwhomst've....

What are your favourite beginnings?
Is there a useful typology to it?
What are your most hated styles of structuring a sentence?
