Can someone explain to me what this Accelerationist thing is? The more I read about it the less I understand it.What is the actual argument(s) being made in Fanged Noumena?
First I see Nick Land on Red Ice TV talking about Trump literally buying the US government, then I see people like Srincek who are apparently accelerationists too talking about UBI and full automation. So which is it? Is right-accelerationism an attempt to deepen and hasten the (actual or perceived) flaws in Capitalism, or is it a pro-capitalist position?
Why does Land call himself a Neo-Reactionary? When I think reactionary I think Carlyle, Guénon, Evola, yet wikipedia says this guy is a realist which seems counter to the kind of idealism the tradionalists espouse. In addition, the fact that this guys fans are a bunch of leftists, even nowadays, seems odd to me. Is this guy not alt-right? It seems almost unnerving to see leftists make memes of a guy who has alt-right talking points all over his twitter, although maybe it's just because I'm a jaded reactionary.
To what degree is this right accelerationism a right wing position? Does it have any connection to traditionalism at all?
