Is there anything more pathetic than holds on a limited number is public library ebooks? Come to think of it, with the modern ubiquity of digital ebooks as well as digital piracy, why aren't public libraries going out of business in droves?

I'm going to use that thread to ask this: let's say that you're a 27 years old guy who grew up with no father, you're depressed, anxious, you want to kill yourself. Peterson's videos helped you "clean your room" and get back on the tracks of sanity, but you don't buy his political views nor his "philosophy", where do you go from there?

Is there any comprehensible way to get into philosophy and apply it? Where should I start? Beyond the Greeks I mean, I'm all for opening my mind and reading things beyond self-help books but how do I get educated on that? I haven't read many books in my life, mostly fiction, I'm not exactly the literate kind, the few things I know I've gathered from Youtube videos, I enjoy Zizek even though I don't really buy his Freudian approach to everything, I also read some of the Stoics, I'm open to anything.

At some point, I get why Peterson gets the hate he gets, but I don't see an approachable alternative to building yourself as a man.

How many of you cunts are writing fantasy novels?

I have no problem spitting out 200-300 pages in a few months but editing just kills me. The sense of wonder from building a new world is gone and trying to fill in pages of dialogue to include body language and the like is pure suffering.

So how to become a better editor? How to edit and not start to hate my own work?
