Just went to a Barnes and Noble for the first time in forever.
While sitting in the parking lot I browsed the store to see if I get a curbside pickup of The Slynx.
None in stock at this store, but I could buy one online. Whatever.
>go inside
>go to the fiction section
only two aisles of fiction, most of it is high-school tier stuff we've all read
a shelf full of nothing but Things Fall Apart
five aisles of romance
>tables stacked with the latest pop-lit abortions
>literally half the store is a children's section
picture books
picture books
comic books
magazines
and a tiny cafe in the corner
oh can't forget the wall of Criterion blu-rays for 60 bucks a pop.

is this what bookstores are now?
they seem to sell everything but literature

No wonder they're all going out of business. Good riddance.

sorry for bothering you.
