Again, is just meant to be a mere style that in small doses is perfect for certain situations.
Maybe a character has read so much that he's became another don quixote and speak such indecipherable way.

Again, is mere meant to be the talk of some crazy demented genius or unreliable narrator.
It's not meant to be used for the entire work.

As silly as pretending that making a symphony made of just the epic final brass of explosive coda to be a good idea.

But is nice style to triggers pseuds and retoriclets on 4chan.

begginers should stick to premade archetypes before trying to do their own original shit.

just like you wont mix random ingredients as a begginer chef, you shouldn't try to make your own story.

It's just a template.
Just like a chord progression in music can be infinite ways, the hero's journey is just a template for a fantasy hero story.

The concept of the hero's journey is about a chosen hero who is taken from his family/peasant life and now has to embark in the journey for some reason, usually meet a master in the journey and overcome the trials, is eaten by the belly of the whale, meet the godess, beat the dragon in the end and marry the godess, usually bringing back the gift of the gods to his people.

It's a basic template for fantasy heroes' and people like it because it works, like pop chord progressions.

But just like using four coulors, it doesn't mean what setting you are using.

How many characters are u using?
What setting are u using?
Will the be minor plots?
Will there be romantic subplots?
Will there be several villains?

Hero's journey doesn't even work for all stories, like romance or slice of life, or literary fiction.

Read also the heroine's journey book, which is about female heroines, is not the same as the hero's journey book.

Also read dramatic writing of lajos egri, The story of Robert Mckee, Emotionering in games David Freeman, 36 plot book, TV tropes wiki on choosing a party size and TV articles, if you're a writer.
