Unlike in China or India where they have thousands of years of pre established philosophical and spiritual doctrine. The Chinese had the 100 schools of Thought where Buddhism, Daoism, Confucianism, and other minor thought leaders discussed in the same semiotic capital vehicle as the Church does but with none of the appeals to the dumbest most desperate masses. No. The Buddha spoke to Rishis and Seekers and Brahamans. Confucius spoke to managers, Mandarins, and land lords and patriarchs. The Daoist spoke to merchants and meditators. Christ speaks to all as if we are his asexual slave. In India and China violent conflict has happened but never at the scale and relentless nature seen in the Western Holy Wars. The Chinese value reading and lounging so much they would rather read than fight any warlord's war for anything more than a plasant meal or evening. You will never see a Chinese fight a holy war or argue like a Protestant and Catholic. They are too smart for their own cynicism. The inwardly retreating contemplative character of the Easterner will never be appreciated by the coffee chugging outwardly scrutinizing Westerner. (Save for the eggheads who excoriate the West and wish for a better Western Civilization)
