How do I read the United States, especially the 19th-early20th century when they were dominating and before they became cringe

There's talk in the thread how a lot of "incels" can't get laid because they simply don't approach women. I know that represents me. The fear of rejection is vast and it is conditioning. I've done as some others have done here and just stopped thinking about sex and worrying about it. It's not in my nature to put myself out there. The urges are still there for me, I'm not transcendent or anything, but I suspect the average man cannot suppress what his monkey brain demands of him. Some go crazy when deprived of the natural and physical craving for intimacy and the subject who inspired this thread was one of those men destroyed by the inclinations they never asked for.

I generally say it is a sorrowful time to be alive. In this instance, practically so for men who've been left behind. I've also always considered the societal contract between men and society to be as follows; a man works and contributes to society and in return his reward is a partner, a family. Men have been stripped of their reward that makes it all worth it. And yet there are those surprised by these meltdowns when they've lost their motivation to play along? I live a very minimal life, I don't give too much back to the world that spawned me, and though I've no intention to shoot strangers on the street, I don't care to work hard for society when I know I've no stakes in it.

Me too, anon. That's why I first started reading philosophy and literature. Then I received a purpose for life, and actually began to enjoy it. Don't give up, pick up a comfy book!

Non ethno-centric behaviours are not conducive to Darwinistic survival, even though this may seem counter-intuitive to modern Westerners.

Those who act in an egalitarian manner reproduce less than those who do not. We know this for two reasons:

>1 Humans are 'racist', therefore there must have been selective pressures in the past to favour one's own
>2 Using predictive algorithms and similar studies, it is shown that genes that promote ethno-centric behaviour come to dominate their gene pools.

Regarding 2, the order of strategies most heavily selected for go:

>Ethno-centric
>Humanitarian
>Selfish
>Traitorous

the grief of the early riser
is bound to his company ,
who wars with the lonely phantoms of his dreams
who braves the hallows of his fears
which, by your mark
fades into the dusk
like a cloud imposed upon a gaze of stars.
Like the rainy blades of green
and the dewy mists of morning,
how they cloud my sight.
As is the fogginess of dawn.

on a morning so gracious
to bring our connection to mind.
Nudging at my shoulder, pointing to you
adorned
and on display.
Painted with a brush so new and fine.
And the wind carries the scent:
what a warm alarm it is to wake to
and be reminded
that I'm embraced and accompanied
day in and day out

for all its humours,
reacquaintance
has found us furnished at the heart,
burning behind the eyes.
On fire with the same force
that lights the sunrise.
Soothing
like the smell after rainfall
before the heat of the day
has a chance to meet my cheek

how warm it is to see
the thawing of the damp,
smoothening the coarseness
of the early hours
as they burn
torrid
with the same fever
that struck the embers
once glowing
shyly
by our toes
