its a nice little thing i picked up from epcot in disney world from my last trip there. in the german section theres a nice little gift shop with a bunch of things, along with (more expensive) beersteins with chunks of the berlin wall glued on but i thought it was tacky. so i got this cool one with the eagle on it, in black. here's where it is now, with the two polandball plushies i have. big fan of those comics.

as for the hawking/sagan stuff, i enjoy the idea of space travel and space colonization but have settled for the more likely inevitability of never getting off this rock with the current social issues we are facing. and thats why i take interest in germany, besides part of my heritage, is the fact that they had the means, the minds, and the drive to accomplish that dream more than anyone else. its slipping now, in our hands. makes me a little bitter.
