I have seen some of it. Vast majority of new construction in Germany didn't adhere to it from what I saw. The homes looked picturesque and I met russians/ukranians that left and easily managed to buy in after roughly 4-6 years of working. Fantastically planned neighborhoods with a strong emphasis on local building materials and peoples needs.

The renovations of the USSR are baby steps compared to what is happening in the last 10 years. The soviets at least managed to rebuild Leningrad extremely diligent to it's original beauty. The skyline now is completely destroyed and all the old soviet historical neighborhood controls are gone now.

Pic related, I have never seen quite as ugly of a gypsy monstrosity in Europe as I have in my area. The WORST in modern construction (very little from what I saw) in Germany is light years ahead of our construction.
