Not that there is any excuse for what i have done, but it was completely accidental. I am very careful with books, especially ones that are lent to me. I don't eat or drink near books, I don't carry loaned books around when traveling to and from Uni, I don't even read the books anywhere than on my reading table, even though i love reading books in my bed.
