Hey man, don't recommend CS lewis because they might read some of his other works where he explicitly mocks Catholicism. There's lots of other stuff to read by actually good people who don't go off the deep end at all. E.G., introduction to Christianity by Joseph Ratzinger. Then a book on prayer is good, I like Michael Muller's Prayer: The Key to Salvation.

What else is someone supposed to do? Pray with him? Take this guy to RCIA class? Recommending books is basically the best that we can do on 4ch, with the caveat that any set of book recommendations for Christianity should always come with a book on prayer and a recommendation to take up the habit of prayer each day. Otherwise, yes, you end up with just a list of theological / catechetical works without mentioning the soul of the Christian life which is prayer and participation in the Church.
