In terms of precedents, what we're seeing now isn't similar to historical migration. It's far more rapid, involving more divergent peoples and lacking in open conflict. It's also happening in the context of drastic reduction of selection pressures.

Ethnocentrism (i.e. trying to stop it) is obviously the more natural response (it's instinctual), a response that Whites in particular are aggressively conditioned out of from birth. There is no technical reason it couldn't be stopped if not for ideology/indoctrination).
