I feel like the angry cynical little voice in my head has been fed so much big word philosophy and historical materialism when compared to the little voice that says "c'mon, lets do this!" that my entire subconscious is constantly fighting me. My active thinking brain knows it needs to get work done, it knows it needs to wake up on time, to eat well, to work out, to read books, to ACTUALLY GET FUCKING WORK DONE, to make money, etc. but it's all so trite and difficult these days to care enough to not just say fuck it and die of a heart attack. Looking at all the systems I could set up, the self psycho analysis, the occultism, meditation, etc. None of it sparks revelation in my mind. If everything is incremental, then my current brain is battling years of negative incremental affectations. It's like doing anything has become a struggle. I used to work 8-12 hours a day. I used to study til I closed down the library. I used to lift weights up and down consistently. But it feels like the past few years have completely stripped me of that man I used to be and simply fighting against the daily grind steals all my willpower to fight back against the incremental blight that has become my life. Why can't I believe in myself or think I did a good job at anything? Why can't I respect my own little wins? Why is the articulate negative nacy voice so much stronger than the retard that occasionally cheers me on from the bleachers?

Are there any books that approach Gnostic metaphysics from a Nietzschean point of view? As in playing with the idea of the material world being the creation of an illegitimate demiurge, but facing that reality as an opportunity to exert your true immaterial will?

There are retards on this boards, and even famous authors like CS Lewis, who think that Mickey’s argument is actually valid. If our brains are just chemicals, and they tell us that the brain is just chemicals, then it’s just a fact. It wouldn’t be a lie. The lie comes when such a brain reaches the conclusion that the brain is not just chemicals. Even after explaining this simple logic, people will still argue against this, especially the theists. Why are people so dumb? It’s very depressing and I find myself going insane because of this.

Yeah, I'm OP. Sorry, I interpreted it in the wrong way then. But still, if the material universe is all that there is, then the logical conclusion would be to pursue things that are of this world so to speak and that's what I was talking about.
