I have an idea for a romance novel but I've read few good examples of the genre. What are some good /lit/ examples? It's fantasy so speculative fiction is preferred.

What does /lit/ thinking about the question of sexuality, love, marriage, and God?

Right now I'm choosing to be abstinent until marriage. The reason being that I believe sex introduces a lot of energy into a relationship that can easily become chaotic if it turns out we don't like each other.

I would rather spend a year or two getting to know a person and establishing honest communication, boundaries, and beliefs we both have that would provide a good framework for a future life. It seems backwards that people don't do this now and instead rush towards sex and quick pair-bonding (which in my experience is more destructive does not last as long).

Thoughts?
