I'm not too much of a reader, so maybe I'm moved more easily, but 'girl next door' is very sad and disturbing. What I find fascinating is how a story, that if were told as a summary, wouldn't even sound that disturbing, is made utterly horrifying by the author. Not sure if I recommend it though, since it's not something that I want to continue reading, just as I have started it and feel compelled to finish.
