We're gonna leave without a deal, which is going to cause an almighty shit-storm when it becomes clear just how much we actually rely on trade deals to get even the most basic of shit - like chemicals to treat water, or how we plan to import food as we've decided to leave at the period where food stocks are at their lowest between seasons.

This is because everyone in government right now are too busy arguing/positioning themselves for a power grab, which has been ongoing since the result, without preparing anything just in-case and desu have waited too late to do anything meaningful now. I have a close friend who works for a local council who is telling me that everyone above him is shitting themselves as they're not getting nearly enough information from Westminster on how to prepare even slightly given the knock-on consequences of the shift that will happen almost overnight.

Everywhere seems to be struggling due to the cuts over the last decade and it seems like most urban areas are the equivalent of tinderboxes already with issues mentioned by OP. It only needs slight instability which this will inevitably bring to cause a shitstorm. I'm not optimistic at all.
