Just finished this.
It's not bad, definitely gets better after the momentum starts, but the whole time it feels like the author cares more about showing off the world he made up than the actual story, if you cut out the chapters that obviously existed for no reason than to show off a tribe with little to no relevance to the overall plot the book would be at least a hundred pages shorter.
