So, I did it. My book is getting published. I'm gonna be a published author. It's my dream done. I've already started my next book. Maybe I'll finish it before my first gets published.

And yet I feel nothing. I genuinely don't care. Every now and then they send me something to fill out - some question to answer for marketing purposes or some idea for the cover art. It should be a fun process. But I don't care.

I just feel like, even though I'm literally guaranteed publication, I still have a shit book that's worthless. Any other published anons struggled with this?

I hate fate because it has given me itself, be it through curses or blessings.

I think, even if I got my act together, and became attractive and sociable and a suitable partner, I would still remain an incel, or rather become a volcel, simply because I can't bear the notion of possibly getting cucked or having a relationship with a girl who has had so many more sexual partners than me.

I am approaching that age, and I feel much more responsible than I ever have before in my life. I approach my studies with a sense of duty, and even if I hate the self-improovment meme that many people have fallen for, I still have some drive to drag myself out of failure. Although I do know some people at that age who have just degenerated. They no longer care about anything except for weed and acid, they have no desire to improve their lives, and only continue to work just so they can get money for the weed and acid.

Why is it always ESL teenagers/young adults who post the most midwit pseud takes and act like they have life all figured out? Dunning-Kruger, maybe. If you haven't realized how retarded you actually are compared to accomplished geniuses in their adult years by the time you are 21 you will become an insufferable failure. Everyone needs to be greatly humbled at least once in their teenage years.
