Are there any abridged/simplified versions of the Bible you'd recommend? I approach information autistically, basically, before really reading books, I started with the Epic of Gilgamesh and Tales Before the Flood, read some other Mesopotamian stuff, then read some Greek mythology, since I think that most works that come after these are influenced by these the most, but I haven't read the Bible yet. And I know about the Talmud and everything, but that's really something I'll have to tackle some other time. I just want to understand what Christianity is for now, without delving into esoteric shit too much.
