Wrote 1,558 words tonight, lads. Felt good. Felt GREAT, in fact; it's been a few months since I've done some real writing.

I'm just so happy to be at work on my story, bros.

I'm editing the second book of it right now, and I am overcome by a sense of peace and happiness. I think this story is what I was meant to tell. I feel at home doing this. This is what I was meant to do. I have found my purpose in life: to be a writer and a poet, working on this story of mine. Every writing or editing session brings me pleasure. I feel so happy inhabiting this world, encountering these characters. I hope I can get the story published, so I can actually make a living off of telling it for years to come.

I'm actually pretty excited because it's one of the least-written-about chapters in the book. And when I've poked around some of the commentary on it nobody else seems to have the idea I have. My thesis director thinks that if I do a good job & keep it somewhat short, I might be able to get my thesis published. He thinks I have an interesting and fairly original hypothesis.

Sometimes, when I'm on the verge of despair, I see a post like this and remember all over again why I love you guys.

Also don't forget that Christ Himself defines marriage as between a man and a woman, and says that men and women are the natural pairing of a marriage. Matthew 19:3-9:

>And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful to divorce one’s wife for any cause?” He answered, “Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one’? So they are no longer two but one. What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder.” They said to him, “Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?” He said to them, “For your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for unchastity, and marries another, commits adultery; and he who marries a divorced woman, commits adultery.”

I like to call Matthew 19 the "Prot Destroyer" chapter, since it features Jesus forbidding both gay marriage AND divorce.
