is this worth reading? the premise sounds interesting but I'm not sure Barker can pull it off

Not to shill the book I made a thread about, but Imajica has like 5 or more sex scenes in it and all of them are hot as fuck.
I really like books that are otherwise great plot wise, but also are able to have graphic/passionate sex scenes that you would never be able to get away with in a movie. It's something that's really great about the medium of literature, because it is like reality.
Reality is a sexual place. The human experience is a sexual experience. If you think of life as a narrative, sometimes there's going to be explicit sex scenes in there. To do otherwise is just editing out the "undesirable" elements of the human experience that some literature is thankfully able to leave in.
I feel like the "full penetration" bit from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia might actually not be that bad if it was actually made desu.

There was actually some really long greentext that I read that was basically like that too. That was hot as fuck too. I think it was called like "My sister ___" or something. It might've been Our Crazy Jenny, but I'm not certain and too lazy to dig for it.

I just finished Imajica, and I really liked it.
>Has anybody else read this?
>What are your thoughts on Clive Barker as a whole?
This is my first thing I've really read by him, besides The Thief of Always years ago (also very good), and apparently Imajica was one of his favorite works that he's done. There's a lot of themes and broad elements I'd love to discuss, but most would be riddled with spoilers for those who haven't read it.
>Do you think his other works are good, and worth reading?

Imajica currently. Trying to get myself to read every day. This is my first Clive Barker work I've read so I don't know if it's a good place to start, but I've been loving it so far.

I just finished pic related. I have to say that I am surprised as the book isn't nearly as dark as people say it is outside of the loli rape scene. What was unexpected was the afterword, where Barker seemed to legitimately like the viewpoint of the ball eating feminist cultists. That and Judith literally sleeping with the fishes, though I suppose that Gentle was never going to end up with her over Pie.

Where do I start with Clive Barker /lit/? I really like the premise of his more fantasy oriented stuff like Imajica and Abarat, but I am not sure if those are the best entry points.

I read this novel 5 years ago and still can't stop thinking about it. What are some more like it?
