Ironically, as I've strengthened my faith I've found it harder and harder to be loving and accepting. Norse/Celts/Germanic pagans please don't respond

"If any man come to Me and hate not his father and mother, and wife and children, and brethren and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple."

What did he mean by this?

How can I with a good conscience proclaim to follow a religion based on the foundations of a ethno-Jewish religion?

I have been trying becoming a Christian for the past three years, two of which were dedicated to discerning which church I should join and my journey was destined, in hindsight, to lead to a dead end from the very beginning. No matter where I looked, and how much I tried to cope, I only saw lies and contradictions but I still kept pushing. Catholicism or Orthodoxy...? "Is the choice that God has left me with between a global Liberal pedo cult vs Russian state religion run by the KGB?" I don't say any of this lightly, I have great admiration for the historical apostolical church, alas Christianity has been thoroughly subverted and there's nowhere to run.

But the issue runs much deeper than this. For instance: Christianity is fundamentally a religion of Jewish origin, conceptualized by non Indo-European people and created for them - by them. Take a look at their notion of Time and History. Jews view time as linear and progressive, whereas the Indo-European views it as cyclical and infinite. It doesn't require much to see what this has meant in terms of modern political theory to see what this idea has turned into.

It is my view that Christianity was destined to become Liberal Progressivism from the very beginning. YES, Aquinas successfully reconciled Christianity with pagan philosophy, stripping away its trace of Judaism but the reformation utterly dismantled his entire effort. The Judaic side of Christianity ultimately won and what has it left us? The most contemptible bastardized teaching of Christianity turned into modern dogma; Egalitarianism.

E Michael Jones said it himself: "Take away the authority of the church and the Bible becomes a revolutionary manifesto."

I started reading the Greeks this summer and it has changed the way I view the world. It has opened so many doors for me I never knew existed. It's like I have discovered another planet filled with its own mythology, culture, literature and view of life. Lastly, if there's one thing I thank Christianity for during these intense years is how it has turned me away from this materialist, bugman view of life.

Does Virtue result in Happiness or does Happiness result in Virtue?

Do you take the side of Nietzsche or the Church on this one?

It gets better when you except that you'll probably never be loved like that in your life. Enjoy your family and close friends who actually love you; enjoy the intimacy you can get from those around you, but you have to accept that you don't have a 'signifigant other' and if you do, you'll probably never recognize them or even meet them in this lifetime. You'll feel the pain for awhile, a kind of void that you can try to fill with work or some hobby that requires a lot of time and dedication. You'll never truly replace that need, but it will get to the point where it doesn't hurt so much.

Sometimes you'll see girls in public or something, and you'll get this melencholy feeling, but it passes quickly and you have to make sure you don't dwell on it. Sometimes I wonder, out of all the girls i've seen or met before in my life, if one of them was the one I had been looking for, but I had just missed it. I remember this one girl I met at a party; she was from England, visiting her parents here in the states. We starting talking and damn, we got along really well. We were up into the early hours of the morning, talking and laughing about everything: passions, goals, dreams, outlooks, worldviews. I have a more quiet, melencholy temperment and she was outgoing and social, but not annoying; we both complemented each other really well. I genuinely think it was one of the best nights of my life, I had a great time, and I would like to think she had a great time as well, with all the laughing and talking she did. We ended up exchanging numbers, and after awhile she left with her friends. I texted her the next morning, told her I had a great time the night before, and said I would like to hang out again sometime in the future. She never responded. I texted a couple more times over the months, but got nothing but silence. I later found out her mother had had a stroke, and was in the hospital, and she had gone back to England to be with her.

This was six years ago, and I've never met a girl like that since. Fuck, I haven't met any girls period, that was around the time my social life really started to degrade. I like to think about what could have been, even though I know I shouldn't. This kind of heaving, throbbing pain makes a great motivation to get your life together; it drove me to finally quit porn. You'll realize you're able to get through life without love and intimacy, you'll find something else to fill that hole. It just takes some time, but you'll get there. I did.

What other worldview should I consider contemplating before becoming Christian?

What about Gnosticism, Hinduism, Nietzscheanism and so forth? I haven't given either of these any consideration, frankly I'm not familiar with them at all, and for the last year my focus has been solely on overcoming atheism, which I have been successful at.

Mankind did not heed the warnings spread in the past; this is our punishment, and it is justified. Give your life to God, who loves you and waits for you to let Him into your heart; accept His love and wisdom, for He will show Himself to be within you; love and assist those around you. Without these principles, you will find no comfort in living. If you are reading this and you are suffering, let Him in today, for He will be your savior.

I recently stopped browsing 4chan for about 9 days or so. Beforehand I was spending hours a day on multiple boards. I mostly did it because of the excessive sexual stimuli on this site. I had already quit porn, and now it’s been 50 days since I’ve been on a porn site, looked up sexual videos on YouTube, etc. though I was still viewing webms before I started my no-4chan streak.

How did I do these things? By vowing to God. Yes, it’s dangerous, but the reward is very great. I’ve only used these 2 vows, but I’m considering the possibilities of using more vows to improve my life. I thought I would let you know, since this was an effective strategy for me, and it might work for some of you, for the theists at least.

If you have any books related to this topic of using vows or similar means of improvement, then let’s discuss them.

Today i saw a guy on TV wearing a shirt on which was written John 3:16.
If you feel alone and lost in life think how God sacrified his son to give us hope.

Also Matthew 27:46.
This passage shows how Jesus was doubtful and scared of God.

I am not a religious person but i am scared of God, truth is i am scared of everything and everybody.
Jesus sacrifice makes me feel my useless lonely life is a little less shit.
Sorry for the blog, i just wanted to talk to somebody.
Goodbye.

It’s been 30 days since I vowed to never again visit porn sites and all red boards except for the occasional /pol/ for news. I’m thankful I’ve been able to do it. Unfortunately there are still porn webm’s and images on blue boards, and that was not part of the vow, but still, I’ve only masturbated to my imagination for these 30 days. Now I’m wondering if I should extend the vow to viewing webms, and maybe all forms of purposeful seeking of sexual content. I can’t imagine what would happen if I vowed to never masturbate or to not dwell on sexual images. I would not consider doing such a dangerous thing if it had not worked so well for porn sites.

>He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

>If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

>sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

>24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
>25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
>26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
>27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
>28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
>29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
>30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
>31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
>32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
>33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
>34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

>34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
>35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.
>36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
>37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

How do I apply these teachings to my life? Should I not go to school? What job should I have? What things should I own? What do I do with my time? How exactly does one hate life? Is it an action, or just a feeling? What do I do?

Did Jesus have free will? He was sinless, yet some Christians say that sin and evil exist because God made humans with free will. But if we are so free, why can’t we be like Jesus? If I know that it is best to follow God and keep the commandments, then why do I still fail? Why can no one be perfect like him?
