Don't listen to that fag, Plato was not only literally defining the state but also the ideal of it. In your case he new that societies naturally organise themselves in a hierarchical state, and that for a society governed by its own practical structures, i.e.money/official occupations, is the form of degeneration which the state of such a size is made applicable to. There must be a factor which relates beyond the formation of society because of this, yet if this factor, or spirit, were not true then it would be rendered useless as one and the same with those practical structures as one of them. Society and its practical structures are already built around this spirit, and the practical structures still create a hierarchy do not mistake that, however as has been shown a false one, unfounded on the Good. For it is very rare that all rich men shall be good. And if they are, this could only be by the metaphysical. All this Plato new, and thus we see the true hierarchical manifestation of the Philosophical ideal, in man and state. In Bronze, Silver and Gold, the Philosopher, Warrior and Peasant.

Eternal Spiritual structures.

For Plato's Hierarchical State we see the clearest representation of in the Aristocracy of the Monarchy. Or perhaps more ideally manifested within the Third Reich. This is how much Plato has influenced Western thought and by that, action.
