I think the books will end with Aegon and Sansa trying to fulfill the Ice and Fire prophecy that Rhaegar wanted to complete when you think about it both Aegon and Sansa have a lot in common especially both being pawns of Little Finger and Varys they are both also in hiding living under different identities and their respecitve house colours are reflected in their hair albiet inversely; Sansa's hair is auburn/red the colours of House Targaryen, while Aegon/Young Griff's hair is white the colours that appear on the crest of House Stark behind the Direwolf. There's no doubt a whole lot more details and rabbit holes I could enter for this but I'd rather not make a long arsed paragraph about it but I think another reason they could get together is because GRRM might bookend things because a Stark and Targaryen essentially caused this whole entire mess the kingdom of Westeros is going through he's no doubt going to jump ahead to when current cast of characters are adults trying to potentially stop The Long Night from happening I think in this scenario you're going to have a Mormont back on the Wall maybe as Lord Commander again, a Stark ruling Winterfell once more after the Battle of Ice is over, and potentially Tyrion murdering Daenerys after she comes to the conclusion to do something dangerous that could potentially harm millions of people mirroring what Jaime did with Aerys, showcasing how everything is somewhat cyclic with a history repeating itself motiff but maybe a threeway team of people consistin of Bran, Sansa, and Aegon maybe being the three heads of the dragon will become the ones to usher in a dream of spring bringing some sort of peace and stability to Westeros.
