Objectivism is a morally sound philosphy. Anyone who hates on her either hasn't read enough of her work, or they have never read it.

18 y/o senior here and I need to pay for college. I'm thinking I want to be a creative writing major but I need to make at least $6,000 in scholarships from private groups to cover my costs. Any suggestions? I thought about doing the ayn rand essay contest even though I feel like shes kind of a slimy mega-captialist

In many senses she was more of an 00s Democrat than a Republican from any era. Why do so many conservatives go to bat for her? Her whole philosophy on second handers advocates against pretty much anything Republicans from any era are against.

Nietzsche would have admired her for articulating the Übermensch in fiction as well as she did. John Galt and Howard Roark are the Übermenschen Nietzsche would have wanted us to aspire towards to.
