Solid, near perfect. Thought I'd be bored by the farming aspects but it's all consistently interesting. Gonna go for the big W&P afterwards.

I plan on borrowing pic related tomorrow. Will I enjoy it if I'm no fan of romance?

Anna Karenina (Some spoilers)

So I read it and found it to be rather amazing and I'm looking for something similar to it that is not by Tolstoy. Because when I find a author I really like I try to save their masterpieces for a rainy day when I really want something I'm sure is good.

So I really like the book as a whole so anything similar. But I'm also looking for books that focus on something similar to the Levin and Kitty story. Even if Levin learns the last lessons in the end of the book, that part didn't do much for because of the heavy focus of religion, not a problem but that wasn't what I liked. I very much liked the focus on family and growth of the characters.

I also prefer very long books over short ones, not a requirement just a extra bonus.

Post a book.

Call out a name or call out a whole list.

The names called need to read that book.

Multiple names edition: people always complain about their supposedly common names like Ahmed and Toshio not being called out so let's take out as many /lit/izens as we can.

Noah should begin reading the Russians.

People act like Dostoevsky is too over-the-top and Tolstoy is perfect, but half of Anna Karenina is a pointless soap opera. I've read it four times and each time I care less about Anna and Vronsky.

Who the fuck wants to talk about this masterpiece of a book. Get in here.

Just finished it yesterday, thought the end was great. By far one of the best books I've read.

Levin is a huge autist

Also, shit book desu, meaningless fiction with no substance or higher purpose, Dostoevsky runs circles around this hack.

Is this worth reading? I have this and Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment but I'm not sure which one to read first.

So I read the first 150 pages and I don't give a shit about any of these characters or their bourgeoisie problems, is this novel overrated?

I'm going to make this the year of Twain instead and read a Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court and transition into Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn for when the weather starts getting warmer
