No. There were legit Peterson threads back then, but even then there were a lot of detractors. He never had solid footing here. I do not even recall the last time I saw a petersonian come on here expounding upon some newly gleaned wisdom from his books. It's just been anti-Peterson threads with countering reactionaries. His primary audience is critical /thinking chuds. Once the hypocrisy of ''idpol bad for this group / idpol good for this group'' came to light, he lost those people. That was probably around 2017/2018. Previously, he did have that veneer of taking on the system, but now he has relegated himself to being the atheistic Christian that lobbies for ideology change within the institutions. When he was a rising star, there were assumptions that he was a disestablishmentarian.

He didn't really change, so much as he is less able to hide his true colors while standing so long in the spotlight. It's more that the perception of him changed as the current total compendium of what he espouses is newly reevaluated.

It is OK to learn from Peterson as long as one does not get entangled in his hypocritical snares. The only reason that I advocate avoiding him is because those that tend to gravitate towards him enshrine his hypocrisy with his truths. He is only a dangerous charlatan until such time as you break your chains of him.

He was mostly an ideological polemicist but he seems to have found his calling during the disease outbreak. Only time will tell, but I have reserved hope for him.
