Why take anything seriously? One day we will all be dead. People suffered 100 years ago, 1000 years ago, over the same things as anyone today. Do any of us concern ourselves with their suffering? Will anyone care about us in 100 years? There is no point in feeling bad over anything

>Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones.

The fact that there is only a single couch that can seat one person facing a TV with a console shows how pathetic of a person probably lives in that apartment. This is not "minimalist", it's just sad.

Where to go after reading this guy? I have never read life philosophy and this was really interesting, but before commiting to something like stoicism I want to see more points of views, is there a flowchart?

Also, he says to NOT read books, but to be educated, how am I supposed to achieve that? Or did I misinterpret it?
