So what is the point of him finishing the books any more?

Who will want to wander through thousands of pages of description of food, nipples and endless meanderings like Quentyn or Aegon when they can just watch the show and get to the point in a much more streamlined story? Particularly that all the main plot twists will be in the open after the show and Martin is one of those writers that without the plot twists you lose 90% of the reason to keep going through all the bad writing.

Why should he even bother finishing those books?

What's up 4channers, i've been wondering since a long time why are this genre writers (science fiction, hight fantasy, etc.) are considered to be an "inferior" kind of literature? What elements are they missing from your perspective? I mean, i dont think these genre books are all crap, there are some good ones out there, but i have not been able to find a strong argument to easily say that at least 70% of them are pure shit, the only thing i can tell you is why i dont like them. So tell why people put these genre works in the section of inferior kind of books

Is it true that he added the RR to his book name after the success of GoT? Does that strike anyone as strange?
