I went to UIC. Double majored in Polish Studies and Spanish Economics with a Minor in Lithuanian Studies. I just chose the most eclectic departments possible I think.

I used to know the dean and lobbied her for a long time to switch the LAS requirements to a core curriculum focusing on the classics, she told me that the shit like the cultural diversity requirements were the only thing propping up and fulfilling the enrollment quotas for shit departments like gender and womens studies and native american studies.

It's can be a really fantastic school if you take advantage of it. There are some very fantastic and well-known professors there, especially in LAS.
