I dream of there existing some sort of a paradise, like a remote island, where I would be spirited away to, and enjoy complete freedom from the worries of the material world, while also being able to purse my artistic passions with similar individuals.

I was fishing for interesting life events, but I guess 4chan is the wrong place to look. The most interesting thing to happen to an average anon is mushrooms suddenly growing on their cumsock.

>Humans have made everything worse and continue to make it even worse.
> forces of civilisation and greed

Is it greed, to want a better existence? To cooperate, and strive for survival? If so is the case, if anything that humans do just hastens their doom - that is the strongest case for the Demiurge there is.
It means that Creation is fundamentally incompatible with humans, it rejects us. It wasn't made for us, it was made against us. We are motivated by the ideals of goodness, justice, love, plenty - but the world spits at our efforts. We want to shape the world in our image, why does the world condemn us? Or perhaps, our image is always evil, without fault? But, we have not created ourselves, we have not created our image. If even we are cursed, then there is no hope, and all is evil and lost.

How badly is the internet going to scramble and distort history and perceptions of the past?
I don't just mean in terms of literature but all forms of art or expression.

It's mostly their unflinching willingness to portray the worst or darkest elements of humanity within their writings. In America and many other Western countries there isn't so much of reality's ugliness portrayed in our literature, so things take on that almost storybook feeling of only ever taking place in a much nicer, happier, seemingly fake version of the world. A starving orphan in an American book is going to be adopted, or will find a loyal starving mutt to befriend, or he will discover some ability that makes him valuable to society. A starving orphan in a Russian book is going to be kicked by passersby, weak from hunger pains, and eventually die of exposure on the streets. There are exceptions to the rule, but for the most part this seems to be the case.
Chinese books have the same darkness that Russian ones tend to have, and I think that has to do with how historically recent each country's bloody revolutions were and how that affects the people who lived through them and a few generations afterward, but that's just speculation there.

Hi all. I self published to KDP after getting some professional editing done. KDP marketing isn't going so good (7 impressions, kek) and I'll likely be putting this on KDP Direct soon.

There is a free preview in Kindle. No need to buy the whole thing. I need to know if this appeals to people or if it's destined for the trashcan. Thank you.

Hi /lit/. I'm wondering if you guys could help me out a bit. I have a free preview of my novel available through Kindle and was wondering if I should even bother dumping any more money into advertising it or not.

I'm not getting anywhere with KDP marketing (7 impressions, kek), and I'm likely going to put this up on KDP Direct to try and get some feedback/attention. In regards to that last point, I'm not asking people to go buy the novel.

But before that, I need to know if this is even acceptable to do in the first place on /lit/. I'll link in the morning after feedback. For everyone else though, the thread can suffice as a feedback thread.

Should I use Amazon to buy used low priced books or should I use Alibris.com? I wanna buy as many books I can get with 20 bucks.

Are there better websites?
