you are almost there. i'm going to be honest: there are glimmers of some interesting thoughts here. but it's bogged down by a quasi-continental imitation; simply say what you mean to say, i guarantee the import will be significantly greater. your references--hegel, kierkegaard--are toss-aways without proper explanatory context.

this has all the vibrancy and originality to it that a very skilled upper-classman at a top-tier university would produce--but nothing more. BUT, keep at it, i think you have a lot of potential.

(for what it's worth: i teach at a top ivy. would definitely enjoy having you as a student, for instance, and you would stand out)
