i don't understand marx, /lit/ marxtrannies is this even close?
>bourgeois mode of production gradually erodes/overthrows feudal mode (privilege/monopoly based) in revolutions
>bourgeois conception of production is based on "free exchange" of private property by atomistic selfish individuals
>private property = alienable property
>property = product of human labor
>therefore private property = alienated labor put on market as commodity
>therefore when bourgeois looks at labor, he already sees just another commodity (labor) to be bought/sold (via wages) competitively (a priori presuming the selfishness of all buyers/sellers) at profit, based on individual initiative
>once "free" exchange has begun, after arbitrary feudal monopolies are overthrown by bourgeois revolutions and reforms, unequal historical/accidental conditions in initial wealth distribution will tend toward de facto monopolies
>older elites will convert what used to be their legally recognized property under feudalism to the new bourgeois legal form of property (capital) to survive
>big bourgeoisie will tend to contract and concentrate, pushing some petty bourgeoisie into proletariat
>proletariat will tend to be immiserated because labour-time/wages are just another commodity, and bourgeois economics establishes (all things being equal) minimum average prices for commodities during normal competitive market conditions
>furthermore, gains in production efficiency from technological improvement don't distribute to workers, they further increase owners' profits while workers are expendable
>bourgeois form of economics = fundamentally based on individual owners buying/selling competitively = whole economic system is driven by moment to moment fluctuations in supply/demand profitability rather than any rational standards (like actual social need)
>overproduction thus endemic and crises inevitable
>inevitably in these crises and boom/bust cycles, the proletariat, which has already been pushed to bare subsistence by market averaging of its wages/labor-time as commodity, will recurrently be laid off en masse or pushed into extreme situations where the only options are to starve or to expropriate/kill the owners
>all this stems from bourgeois ownership of means of production + general societal acceptance that "individual ownership" of "private property" is a universally valid economic truth
>if you get proletarians to realize this is arbitrary bullshit that just makes wealth accumulate to where wealth has already accumulated, they will be that much more willing to kill/expropriate the owners when shit hits the fan
>which it always will because overproduction/crisis
what am i messing up or oversimplifying, i don't understand economics and i get lost every time he starts talking about land rent

But wouldn't Kant agree that the ideal is prior to and above the material and that this knowledge takes precedence over empirical sensory data?
Or are you saying that Kant's whole point was basically just "We can't really know anything"

TITLE HERE tells the tale of a young man, full of agitation and anxiety, taking a road trip to from Oklahoma to Florida. As this short story progresses, it is slowly revealed Florida is the location where the main character was sexually assaulted by his mother as well as a location that was not exempt from his father’s abuse.
The main character of this story would be a young white man, from an upper middle-class background, who has just finished high school. Exploring unresolved trauma, the aforementioned assault in this story would have happened a few years in the past, short enough to where it is still fresh but still long enough to fester within him. Other characters would include the main character’s mother and siblings, who are taking the trip with him. The story will chronicle his time on the road with his family, as he slowly becomes more stressed and agitated as he returns to the site of his past trauma.
The location of the story would begin starting in an unnamed Oklahoman city and the family will travel through various landmarks, cities, and towns in the southern united states, including the Mississippi River. The location will follow the southern gothic tradition and will be an integral part of its story, full of various locations that are both unnamed yet so familiar to readers of the region. The time period of this story would take place within the last 10 years, but there will no be major signifiers of the time beyond smartphones. It will be an unnamed year, somewhere within the timeframe of 2010 to 2019.

I feel like I have a terrible grasp of the English language. In my head, I can visualize what I want write but when I actually try to articulate it, it comes out all clunky.

I envy people who are able to articulate their feelings so well that I'm actually able to emphasize with them.
