Why do you guys like Dostojevski so much? He's not that good. I have gotten The Idiot, Crime and punshment, and various other books by him on my shelf that have been accumulating dust because of how boring they are. You guys memed me hard.

What sorts of books do you think that successful people like Elon Musk and Bill Gates? Do you think it's Virginia Woolf or DFW? Do you think they read Tolstoy and Gogol and other fictiony-bullshit? No, they read non-fiction and ACTUALLY LEARN something from reading. They have something to read to INCREASE THEIR KNOWLEDGE, while you jackasses read only fiction bullshit to keep in your lazy failure state you're currently caught in, nerds.

Yeah I know right?

I was reading fiction for some good few months and laid philosophy to the other side, then I picked up some books by Wittgenstein, Seneca and Schopenhauer and I got astounded by what I discovered : I learn more and gain more enjoyment from reading 3 pages of any of these philosophers than reading an entire book by Dostoyevski or Tolstoy.
