Why did prisons start allowing sodomy? You read of prisoners being killed for it clear up until the 1920s in most of the world. Seems kind of stupid to allow this. Even in South Africa, up until the 1980s. Nelson Mandela was beaten in prison once because the guards accused him of masturbating. Why did they suddenly stop caring? Prisons these days even allow "conjugal" visits and actual sex. I don't get it.
