A white man take:

If psychology is about oneself.
Then everything within is criticism and scrutiny.
And everything outside is of unknown abstraction.
Both lead to futility as they have no end.

Problem comes from innabilty to accept the frailities of "man".
A broken clock is right twice a day.
Expecting it to be right all the time is of invalid logic.
Hinting only but a reach to "know it all" and "change it all", an ego.
While all is natural.
We are not the creatures of all-knowing and all-able.

In any one that seeks of self importance in reach of an extreme
is bound to found their progress to be futile in nature.

If Bertrand Russell is of any reason, it's of noting
that in all the effort, a human reason can be at most a best guess.

Therefore, in thirst to have, you have to ask a little.
That is, if you are ready to accept yourself.
(C. Jung would help there)
