I'm surprised people didn't just beat him up regularly for being such a snarky condescending jerk.

I encountered Socrates at the bustling agora in Athens one sunny day. Approaching him, I couldn't help but express my admiration for his intellectual pursuits, but I hesitated to disturb him further by seeking answers or insights.

Socrates looked at me with an arched brow and remarked, "Oh, like you're doing now?"

I was taken aback by his response, and all I could muster was a perplexed "Huh?" Yet, he persistently interrupted me, repeating, "huh? huh? huh?" and theatrically closing his hand in front of my face. I decided to walk away, continuing with my errands, and I could hear him chuckling as I distanced myself.

As I reached the front of the marketplace to pay for my goods, I noticed Socrates attempting to exit the establishment with around fifteen scrolls and papyrus rolls in his hands, seemingly without the intention of paying for them.

The cashier maintained her composure, handling the situation with professionalism. She kindly stated, "Sir, you must pay for those items first." Initially, Socrates feigned exhaustion and seemed to disregard her words. Eventually, he turned back and brought the scrolls to the counter.

When she began scanning one of the rolls multiple times, Socrates intervened, insisting that she should scan each of them individually "to avoid any intellectual interference." He then turned to me and slyly winked. I doubted that "intellectual interference" was even a term. As the cashier diligently scanned each item and placed them in a bag, preparing to announce the total cost, Socrates repeatedly interrupted her with loud yawns.

I'll help you with philosophy itself, anon. It's not virtuous to cheat. Don't make my hemlock sip be in vain.

>but chad, you'd at best be an auxiliary to the philosopher kings. just look at you. the real philosopher kings must be picked from a caste determined entirely by merit, not birth, according to plato's wise teachings. your genes best suit you for the battlefield. mine however, suit me to rule over you. wouldn't you agree?

One thing puzzles me anon. What is 'the greatest philosopher of all time'? Could we agree on a definition of his attributes?

Why is this guy such a big deal when most of what we know about him comes from a fictional account by Plato? Was it self-cucking?

Is there anything wrong with a strictly metaphorical reading of the Bible? Before ever touching the Bible, I read a lot of Plato and Aristotle, and after finishing the Old Testament recently I've found myself reconciling my former beliefs by taking the words of the Bible as metaphor.

Tell me: is there anything wrong with viewing God as the highest Form?

>it is more injurious to do wrong to others than to be wronged

How cucked do you have to be to really believe this? How is might not right?
