sup /lit/? working on my essay, how is this for an introduction:

Amidst the rich conversations in The Love Letters of Heliose and Abelard, light and darkness play a prominent role in the descriptive emotions of the ‘man’ and the ‘woman.’ In The Love Letters, the characters often use light to portray their happiness and awe, while darkness is used in expressing their grief and sorrows. We find that both characters are very descriptive in their respective letters, often displaying either ecstatic happiness or excessive grief; although they have a tendency to show positive and negative emotions, they often are seen (and see themselves) as one or the other. Furthermore, the characters are often referred to in terms of light and darkness: the woman is compared to things that are light, while the man’s character is compared to darkness.

Does /lit/ recommend Nausea by Sartre? I looked over the first couple pages, and it looks incredibly dense. I enjoy existentialist works from Camus and Beckett, but Nausea seems like it might be tough to follow.

Would it help if I started with No Exit? Or jump right in to Nausea. No Exit seems like it would be similar to Beckett's plays.
